Lagassé Group annonces 4 executive appointments




MONTRÉAL/SHERBROOKE (QUÉBEC) CANADA - August 22nd, 2008 -The Lagassé Group announces the addition of 4 executives to the leadership team who will be overseeing business development, distribution, marketing and product strategies for the Lagassé Group of companies . The new executives join the company as it continues to build an industry leading management team and expands its operations in North America and internationally.

Working closely with me and our CTO and Executive Vice-President, Strategy and Corporate Development, Denis Marchand, their experience will ensure Lagassé Group continues to leverage the synergies between the member companies, respond quickly to the changing market and business environment, and that we take advantage of new opportunities as they present themselves."

Mehrdad Salimian Rizi has been appointed Vice Chairman of Lagassé Group. In this role, he will focus on new identifying and developing new business relationships that will leverage the Group's offerings. Mehrdad has extensive international business development experience; establishing and expanding affiliate relationships, managing multinational teams, and developing profitablemultinational operations. He founded Orford International Trade Inc. in 1996 and Orford Energy Management Inc. in 2006 through which he invests in start-up companies that have energy efficiency technologies.

Providing extensive corporate finance and North-American capital markets expertise, Claude Michaud joins the Group as Chief Financial Officer. His experience will be extremely valuable to Groupe Lagassé as it accelerates the pace of its development. Prior to joining Lagassé Group, Claude served as Chief Financial Officer of Kangaroo Media, Neurochem and C-MAC Industries, and asManaging Director, Investment Banking with Scotia Capital and TD Securities. He also served as Director, Management Consulting, with the Secor Group.

With an expanding product portfolio and the focus on creating new distribution channels, Lagassé Group has identified a major growth area for the Group. To drive this growth, Jean Paul Chartier has been appointed Group/Senior/Executive Vice President Sales. Jean Paul has over 30 years of experience in the Telecom industry, including 20 years in international markets. He has held severalexecutive positions within Bell Canada, Bell Canada International, CGI Group among others and brings experience in international marketing, risk management, joint venture investments, sales and distribution

To focus on bringing new products and services to the market, Christopher Fedorko has been appointed Group/Senior/Executive Vice President Marketing. Chris brings over 30 years of experience in the high technology industry, holding senior marketing, product management and business development positions in companies such ranging from start-ups such as Hullo and Televitesse to established companies such as Cognos and Nortel. His experience crosses the hardware, software and services sectors of the high technology marketplace.
